Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Peitzsch is an expert in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, and Genomics. He has close to 15 years of experience in both small biotech and big Pharma, including over 12 years at Pfizer. His work on target identification, determination of target and compound mechanisms of action, and pathway modeling has helped to advance the understanding of several disease areas including Antibacterials, Diabetes, Obesity, Frailty, and Neurological diseases.

Dr. Peitzsch has an extensive background in both the development of novel analytical methods and in infrastructure development, including database design and implementation. In addition to being an expert in computational methods, he has a long history in aiding biologists with experimental design and the subsequent interpretation of the data.

Dr. Peitzsch is also sought out as an educator: he has taught classes on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Connecticut College, and has given many guest lectures including on relational database design for Bioinformatics at Cold Spring Harbour, on causal reasoning for an Ingenuity Users Group meeting, and many others.
